Job Description
Paid Internship.
The Downtown Sailing Center, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit community sailing center, is seeking a dynamic intern to help with day-to-day operations between May and August. A modest stipend of up to $2000 will be awarded to each intern, but the intern must also provide proof that the internship will be for academic credit. The sailing center is flexible with hours and responsibilities – this internship is all about what you make it!
Job Responsibilities
This intern will work to plan membership events like monthly parties and open houses. He or she will produce the sailing center’s weekly e-mail newsletter and write press releases. The intern will also need to be able to take pictures and do basic photo editing for our Web site and promotional materials. A large component of this internship is to help coordinate the sailing center’s fundraiser gala.
Requirements / Skills
Intern must be highly motivated and self-sufficient. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required and willingness to take photographs for marketing materials is a must. Intern should have strong writing and communication skills.
