Description

The federal government is the largest purchaser of products and services in the world. In order to win a government contract, a company must be able to write a compelling proposal. This event will cover the basics of writing government proposals, how it is different from other kinds of writing, and what you need to understand about the government procurement process.

Molly
K. Gimmel is the co-founder and Executive Vice President of Design To Delivery
Inc, a consulting firm that helps businesses win and manage government
contracts. She works with clients in all industries to provide consulting
services in the areas of proposal management, pricing, contract and subcontract
management, GSA Schedule proposals and administration, FAR and regulatory
compliance, and contract financial management. She has been working in the
field of government contract and acquisition management since 1991. Before
founding D2DInc, she spent eight years working in the government practices of
three of the “Big Five” accounting/consulting firms.

Molly is
a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), National
Contract Management Association (NCMA), Association of Proposal Management
Professionals (APMP), the American Small Business Coalition (ASBC), and Women
Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). She is currently serving on the board of the
GovConNet initiative within the Montgomery County MD Chamber of Commerce and
the Advisory Board for the National Capital Area Minority Business
Opportunities Center (NCA-MBOC). She also serves on the NAWBO National Board of
Directors in the role of Chair of the Presidents Assembly, as well as serving
on the NAWBO Greater DC Chapter Advisory Board as a Past Chapter President. She
is a Certified Professional Contract Manager, has a Masters of Science in
Contract & Acquisition Management, and a Bachelors of Business
Administration in Marketing.

Meal Options

Wait staff will give you the following choices the night of the event. There is no need to order in advance. If you have special dietary needs, you can request substitutions or order other equivalently priced entrees. All meals come with a soft drink, iced tea, or coffee.

Pasta Con Panna or Pomodorro

Grilled chicken served with alfredo sauce or tomato basil sauce with your choice of penne or linguini pasta.

Steak and Fries

6 oz grilled center-cut sirloin cooked to order served with seasoned fries.

French Dip

Shaved roast beef with melted Swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and house made au jus. Served with fries and a pickle.

Tropical Chicken Salad

Fresh spinach tossed in our house vinaigrette, with mango, papaya, grapefruit, and strawberries topped with honey-orange-mustard grilled chicken and roasted sunflower seeds.

Soup and Salad

A large bowl of one of our made-from-scratch soups and your choice of house or Caesar salad.
