MIT Club of Washington, DC Rescheduled Events

The MIT Club of Washington, DC, which is listed in our Events from Related Organizations page, has new dates for events that were affected by the snow storms.

  • Tuesday, February 9 — Seminar Series — Postponed to Tuesday, April 6.
  • Thursday, February 11 — Norm Augustine — “U.S. Human Spaceflight Plans” — Kenwood Club, Bethesda. — Postponed to Tuesday, February 23. >>> Registrants, we’ve emailed you, but if you didn’t hear from us, just e-mail ude.tim.mulanull@ojc and let us know you a) can come with same number of guests; b) can come but want to change the number of guests; c) can come but don’t remember how many guests you signed up; d) can’t come.

Their remaining schedule for February remains the same:

  • Tuesday, February 16 — Iqbal Quadir — Founder of the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT, and Bangladesh telecom entrepreneur, at Maggiano’s Restaurant, Friendship Heights, DC.
  • Thursday, February 18 — Annual Gala of the MIT Enterprise Forum — Co-hosted by the MIT Club, this popular event is sure to appeal to all entrepreneurial alums as well as hi-tech investors. This year’s Gala is at an exciting new location, the Canadian Embassy. (Note that it is on a different day than previously published.)
  • Thursday, February 25– Former NASA astronaut, Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper ’84 will speak to us at a dinner meeting at the Kenwood Club in Bethesda. The title of her talk is “Unexpected Repairs at 220 Miles High.”
  • Saturday, February 27 — Terra Cotta Warriors — We’re on for a 12:30 p.m. tour of this popular National Geographic exhibition.
