I am renewing my STC membership at the basic level, which costs $215, and then am paying $25 extra for the chapter and $10 extra for three SIGs: Process & Procedures, Technical Editing, and Process Improvement. I am not paying for printed subscriptions to STC publications either. I am waiting to find out whether or not my employer will reimburse me for some or all of the costs.

I have chosen to renew because I benefit from the membership professionally and because I enjoyed the 2008 Summit in Philadelphia and hope to attend the Summit in Dallas in 2010.
