Here are some places where you can find or post job announcements for technical writers and editors on the web. This list focuses on sites and listservs that reach audiences in the Baltimore-Washington area.

* STC Washington D.C. Chapter Talent Pool
Click on the “Talent Pool Form” link to add your listing to the talent pool.

* STC Baltimore Chapter Jobs Listing
Click on the “Metro Baltimore STC Employment” link to e-mail your job listing to the STC Metro Baltimore Chapter.

* STC Special Interest Group Descriptions and Contact Information
The STC special interest groups have listservs which carry job postings.

* STC Consultants and Independent Contractor’s Special Interest Group
The STC CIC SIG group listserv carries job postings.

* STC Washington D.C. Consulting and Independent Contracting Special Interest Group (CICSIG)
The STC Washington DC CIC SIG listserv carries job postings.

* TECHWR-L
TECHWR-L has a web site and a mailing list.

You can post your resume online or create a job posting in the “writing/editing jobs” category.

* Craigslist Washington
You can post your resume online or create a job posting in the “writing/editing jobs” category.

* The Creative Network — Julie Perlmutter
“Whether you’re looking for a full-time creative position, a lucrative freelance assignment, or have employment opportunities to post, the Job Board makes connections fast.”
This site is fairly new, but Julie’s listserv has been around for a while. The STC uses it to announce upcoming events.
