Committee Member

Committee affiliation: any committee you'd like to join. See the full list of openings and specific committee position descriptions at Volunteer Openings.

Basic Function

Attend all meetings of the committee, perform committee assignments, and work towards the fulfillment of the committee objectives.

Responsibilities

As a Committee Member, you are expected to be an active participant in committee work. You will work with other chapter members to support a special project, event, or function. You may assume a variety of responsibilities such as taking photographs, planning special events, making meeting arrangements, reporting on a chapter event for the newsletter, carrying out individual assignments that are made by the committee manager, or help with publicity. These are some of the suggested jobs, but you are encouraged to offer your own ideas and special talents. All committee members help the committee manger with status report contributions and may voice objective opinions concerning the committee's issues.

Experience and Skills

May be a learning experience or use your skills and expertise that are appropriate to the need of the particular committee.

Equipment

Generally none.

Time Commitment

Attendance at committee meetings. Additional time commitments to be determined by the function or goal of the committee.
