Corporate Sponsorship
The Washington, DC - Metro Baltimore Chapter (WDC), the Capital Chapter, is one of the largest in the Society with almost 500 members. Our members are employed by private firms, government agencies, and academic institutions, or work as consultants. They share their expertise with the community and with newcomers to the technical communication field in many ways.
Voluntary donations to the Washington, DC - Metro Baltimore Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication help the chapter defray operating expenses and support the funds for our Austin T. Brown Technical Communication Award for high school students and the Shirley G. Carter Memorial Award for college students. If you or your company would like to sponsor an event, competition, or contribute to the future of a technical communicator, we welcome all contributions and sponsorships of chapter activities and events. Meeting room space and equipment donations to the chapter are also gladly accepted.
Sponsorship may be in the form of
- Chapter Partnerships & Sponsorships (Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels)
- Gifts from our Donations Wish List
- Participation in the STC Corporate Value Program and STC Partnerships.
The Washington, DC - Metro Baltimore Chapter gratefully posts the logo of organizations that donate money or services to the chapter for the year. The logos are posted in the sidebar and on our Corporate Sponsors Recognition page. Depending on the level of sponsorship, logos can be linked to a URL. Logos will remain on the page for one chapter year (July to July) and then retained on an archive page of past supporters. New donors are welcome throughout the year and their logos or identification will be posted for the remainder of the year.
