The Consulting and Independent Contracting SIG serves as a focal point for information about practicing technical communication as an independent consultant. It is designed to help new and seasoned consultants alike to practice their trade more effectively.

Locally, this SIG provides a forum where consultants and independent contractors in the Washington, DC area can exchange ideas, leads, referrals, best practices, and mutual support and camaraderie.
