The Mythical Man-Month: Essays on Software Engineering, 20th Anniversary Edition by Frederick P. Brook, Project Manager for the IBM 360 Operating System. A classic, originally published in 1975. Additional essays added for the 20th edition in 1987. The software and hardware may be outdated, but the concepts and insights are not—a must read for managers of any type of project. |
