Topic: "Networking Happy Hour with the Washington Independent Writers"

About the Event

Get to know communicators from our chapter, the Washington Independent Writers (the country's largest regional organization of freelance writers and editors), and the DC chapter of the American Society of Business Publication Editors at the Capitol City Brewing Company at Mass. Ave. and 1st St. NE, right across the street from Union Station. Please note that this is not the same location of the Capitol City Brewing Company where STC met in September. The cost covers hors d'oeuvres and the whole mezzanine level (2nd floor) of the restaurant to stretch out in. There will be a cash bar in the room. Bring a friend and plenty of business cards for swapping. We look forward to a large turnout of communicators in all disciplines! If you are not yet a member, take this opportunity to get to know us. Drop by anytime between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.

Don't forget your business cards for networking and your books for the book drive!

We collect a business card from each attendee for a chance to win the registration fee for the STC Annual Conference. The drawing takes place at the March program. The more programs you attend, the more chances you have to win.

Schedule

5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Happy hour with cash bar

Food

Various hors d'oeuvres are included in the cost.

Cost

$10 students, $15 members with advance reservations, and $20 for nonmembers and walk-ins.
