Topic: "STC International Competition Traveling Exhibit"

About the Event

Each year the STC Washington, DC Chapter sponsors competitions for technical publications, technical art, and online communication. Winners of our highest award, Distinguished Technical Communication, go on to compete with similar winners from all over the world. Winners from the 2002 international competitions are now part of a traveling exhibit, and will be here in DC for one night only!

In addition to the technical publications, technical art, and online communication entries, we will display winning entries from the Austin T. Brown High School Technical Communication Scholarship Competition (two of which won awards in the International High School Technical Communication Competition), STC Newsletter Competition, and STC Public Relations Competition. The Washington, DC Chapter won Excellence awards in the Newsletter and Public Relations competitions, so our entries will be among those on display.

Judges and winners who participated in the international competitions will each speak for a short time on what they think made the entries they judged or entered rise to the top.

Don't forget your business cards for networking!
