About Capital Letter

The award-winning newsletter, Capital Letter, is published bi-monthly by the Washington, DC Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC WDC). Write for Capital Letter

We welcome articles, essays, book or software reviews, and information tidbits. We also sometimes need regular columnists. It's fun to see your name in print and a great way to gain recognition. It's also a great writing sample.

Review a Chapter Event

We sometimes need reviewers for certain chapter events. Reviewers who have been confirmed in advance are eligible for free admission to an event in exchange for writing a review of that event.

Please note:

  • We do not feature reviews of Knowledge University (hands-on training) seminars, so we do not offer free or reduced admission to those seminars.
  • Reviewers are confirmed and entitled to free event admission only after receiving a confirmation e-mail message from the Managing Editor of Capital Letter. Each reviewer must bring a printed copy of the e-mail message to the event and show it to the registration volunteer.
