Individual Honors
Congratulations to chapter member Marissa Levin! Marissa Levin, Founder and CEO of Information Experts, has been named as a Finalist in the Entrepreneur category for the 2004 Women in Technology Leadership Awards.
Every year, Women in Technology (WIT) recognizes women who have made an outstanding contribution to the information technology field. The awards will be presented at the annual Leadership Awards Banquet May 13, 2004, at the Sheraton Premiere, Vienna, VA. Kathleen Matthews, anchor of ABC 7's News at 5:00, will emcee the event.
Finalists were selected on their abilities to demonstrate mentorship, leadership, and success.
Marissa was also a Finalist for the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
STC WDC chapter member, Marissa Levin, and her company, Information Experts, were featured in USA TODAY on the front page of the Money section in this past Monday, May 19, 2003! If you can still find a print copy, you will see a large photo of Information Experts employees and their families. The topic of the article was women's entrepreneurship: Mars vs. Venus extends to entrepreneurs, too by Jim Hopkins, USA TODAY.
Marissa is also featured in an accompanying video:
Women CEOs balance career, motherhood. In addition, Marissa was featured in a TV segment on CBS that ran nationally. Way to go, Marissa! We are proud of you.
