Directions to West End Grill

Location:West End Grill map

West End Grill
7904 Woodmont Avenue
Bethesda, MD  20814
Phone: 301-951-9696

By Metro:

Take the Red line to the Bethesda Metro station. Exit to Rt. 355/Wisconsin Avenue. Turn left (north-west) and start walking down Old Georgetown Road. Walk one long block and turn right onto Woodmont Avenue (at the Apartment Search building). Walk two blocks on the left side of the street to the West End Grill. The restaurant is white with black trim and we will be in the party room upstairs (sorry, there is no elevator). (For all Metro stations, see the Metrorail Stations page. For a map of the station and surrounding neighborhood, click on the PDF in the Entrances / Evacuation Maps box. For the full Metro system of lines, see the Metrorail map.)

By Car:

From your starting point: Driving Directions and Map.

From the Beltway in Virginia:
Take the Beltway (I-495) to the exit for MD-190/River Road. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp to go east on River Road. After 2 miles, turn left onto Wilson Lane. Turn right onto MD-187/Old Georgetown Road. Turn left onto Woodmont Avenue. Park in the first public parking garage on the left at the intersection of Woodmont and Cheltenham Rd. Leaving the parking garage, walk left 1.5 blocks to the West End Grill on your left (if you reach St. Elmo Avenue, you have gone too far). Valet parking is also available at the restaurant for $3. We will be in the party room upstairs (sorry, there is no elevator).

From the Beltway in Maryland East of Bethesda:
Take the Beltway (I-495) to the MD-185/Connecticut Ave. exit, exit number 33, towards Kensington/Chevy Chase. Keep left at the fork in the ramp. Turn left onto Connecticut Ave. Turn right onto Jones Bridge Rd. Turn left onto Rockville Pike (MD-355). Turn right onto Woodmont Avenue. After crossing Cordell Avenue, there is an open parking lot on the left that may have spaces and only requires you to feed the meters until 7 p.m. It is diagonally across the street from the West End Grill. If no spaces are available there, continue down Woodmont (passing the West End Grill on your right) and park in the large Woodmont Triangle garage on your right near where Woodmont meets Cheltenham. Walking out of that garage, turn left onto Woodmont and the restaurant will be 1.5 blocks on your left.

From the Beltway in Maryland West of Bethesda:
Depending on how far west you are from Bethesda, you may choose to either take the Beltway or follow MD-355 (Rockville Pike) all the way to Woodmont Avenue. If you take the Beltway, take the MD-355 S exit on the left towards Bethesda. You are now on Rockville Pike (MD-355). Turn right onto Woodmont Avenue.

Where to Buy a SmarTrip Card

You may purchase SmarTrip cards online from the Metro Store. (Note: The Metro Store page is on a very slow server so it may take a while for the page to load.)

A renewable SmarTrip farecard purchased online has a $20 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $25 online.

Senior and Disabled SmarTrip Farecard

In order to purchase a discounted farecard, Senior citizens (65 and older) and persons with disabilities must have proof of age or a valid Metro Disability ID Card. For information on how to apply, see http://www.wmata.com/accessibility/metroaccess_eligibility.cfm. Applications for the free WMATA Disabled ID card are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202-962-1245 or TTY 202-628-8973 or calling 202-962-1558 or TTY 202-962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you.
