GUCPD is located in the historic Car Barn building at the "foot" of Key Bridge in Georgetown, about four blocks from the Georgetown University campus. Take the Blue or Orange line to Rosslyn Metro station. Take the new Georgetown shuttle bus (Georgetown Metro Connection) that leaves from the Metro station or walk across the Key Bridge to the historic Car Barn building. The Georgetown Metro Connection serves all Metrobus stops in Georgetown plus additional Georgetown Metro Connection ONLY stops and operates Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to midnight and at other times during Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fares are inexpensive: $0.50 one way and $0.25 with a Metrorail transfer. Route 2, the M Street Line, travels between Rosslyn Metro station, Georgetown and Dupont Circle Metro station via the Key Bridge, M Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, L Street and New Hampshire Avenue NW. Ask the driver if you can get off at 35th Street or 34th Street. For more information, call 202-625-RIDE about where the Metro stops are. The buses are lift-equipped, fully air conditioned.
(You can also take the Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) shuttle at a cost of $1 per ride. Let the driver know you want to get off at the Car Barn and he will do his best to stop there for you. If he cannot do that safely, you will be dropped off at the Leavey Center in the heart of Georgetown's campus (3700 O Street NW), a four block walk back toward Georgetown to the Car Barn.) A taxi ride from Rosslyn station to the Car Barn is another option and it is approximately $5.
