By Metro:

Take the Red line to the Bethesda Metro station. The hotel provides a shuttle bus until 9:00 p.m. If you are planning to take Metro, arrange a ride back to the station after the meeting. (For transfer information, consult the Metrorail system map.)

Head up the long set of escalators to the bus bay and the next set of short elevators to the plaza level. You'll be facing north at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. Stay on the same side of the street and walk north (straight ahead) up Wisconsin about five blocks. The hotel is on your left.

From I-95 North: (Baltimore, Philadelphia):
Take I-95 South towards Washington DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway) proceed West towards Bethesda/Bethesda. Take Exit 34 (Route 355 or Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike) and proceed South towards Washington/Bethesda. Proceed on Route 355. The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From I-95 South: (Northern Virginia):
Take I-95 North towards Washington DC. Take I-395 North via Exit 170A on the left. Merge onto I-495 North/Capital Beltway via Exit 170B towards Tysons Corner. Take Exit 34 MD 355 toward Wisconsin Ave. Bethesda. The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From Route 66 East: (Northern Virginia, McLean, Fairfax):
Take Route I-66 East towards I-495 North/Capital Beltway Baltimore. Take Exit 34 (355) South toward Wisconsin Ave/Bethesda. Proceed on Route 255. The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From I-270 South (Gaithersburg, Germantown):
Take MD-355 South via the exit toward Bethesda. Proceed on Route 355/Wisconsin Ave. The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From Eastern Shore:
Take Route 50 West via ramp on the left toward I-97 (Washington/Baltimore). Merge onto Capital Beltway I-495 North via Exit 7B. Take Exit 34 MD 355 towards Wisconsin Ave./Bethesda. The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA):
Take the George Washington Parkway North to I-495 North heading towards Maryland. From I-495, take Exit 34 South Wisconsin Ave. South (Route 355 South). The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From Baltimore Washington International AIrport (BWI):
Take the Baltimore Washington Parkway South towards Washington DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway) proceed west toward Bethesda/Bethesda. From the Beltway I-495, take Exit 34 South Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike and proceed South towards Bethesda/Washington DC. The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

From Dulles International Airport (IAD):
Take the Dulles Access Road East to I-495 (Capital Beltway) heading North to Bethesda/Baltimore. From I-495, take Exit 34 Wisconsin Ave. (Route 355 South). The hotel is about 2 miles on the right hand side.

Parking

The hotel offers valet parking only for a cost of $20.

Public Parking

Parking is FREE on Saturdays, Sundays, and County holidays. During Monday thru Friday, park at a silver meter and be sure to feed it (which will allow you two hours or more at 50 cents an hour). The blue meters only allow a maximum of two hours, and the parking authority in Bethesda doesn't hesitate to write tickets.

Public Garage

The most convenient place to park is in the metered public parking garage at 8216 Woodmont Avenue, which is across from the hotel's Woodmont Avenue entrance. Entrances to the garage are on Woodmont Avenue and Rugby Avenue.

To get to the garage:

• Coming down Wisconsin Avenue from Rockville, veer off to the right onto Woodmont Avenue after you pass the Jones Bridge Road/Center Drive entrance to the National Library of Medicine. Drive through the light at Battery Lane and Woodmont Avenue, then turn right into the garage (marked by a blue P sign).

  If you miss one of the two turns into the parking garage on Woodmont, turn right onto Rugby Avenue then turn right into the garage entrance, which is on your right opposite Del Ray Avenue.

• Coming up Wisconsin Avenue from DC, turn left onto Battery Lane then left onto Woodmont Avenue. The entrance to the garage is on your right.
  -OR-
  Turn left onto Cordell Avenue, then turn right onto Woodmont Avenue. Turn left onto Rugby Avenue then turn right into the garage entrance, which is on your right opposite Del Ray Avenue.

Public Open Lot

There is a public parking lot next to the gas station directly across the street from the hotel's Wisconsin Avenue entrance. However, you must be willing to risk crossing busy Wisconsin Avenue without benefit of traffic light or crosswalk at either end of the block containing the parking lot. The lot is between Maple Avenue and Highland Avenue. Turn onto Highland or Maple Avenue and go about 300 ft. to the entrance of the public parking lot.

Parking in Metro lots – SmarTrip cards:
A SmarTrip card is the only form of payment accepted at Metro-operated parking lots. For more information about Metro parking and lot operating hours, see Daily parking at Metro stations.

You may purchase SmarTrip cards online from the Metro Store. (Note: The Metro Store page is on a very slow server so it may take a while for the page to load.)

Standard SmarTrip farecard: A renewable SmarTrip farecard purchased online has a $20 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $25 online.

Senior and Disabled SmarTrip farecard: In order to purchase a discounted farecard, Senior citizens (65 and older) and persons with disabilities must have a valid WMATA Senior/Disabled ID card. (Applications for the free WMATA Senior/Disabled ID card are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202/962-1558, TTY 202/962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you.) A renewable SmarTrip farecard for senior and disabled riders purchased online has a $10 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $15 online.

SmarTrip cards may also be purchased from vending machines in Metro stations but come with a lower initial fare value: $5 for the card with a $5 fare value for a total of $10 for the standard farecard. A separate vending machine allows you to add fare value up to $300 to the card.
