The Capitol City Brewing Company is inside the historic Postal Square Building, located right across the street from Union Station and a Red line Metro stop. Our event is in the private party rooms down the hall on the left as you walk in.

It is highly recommended that you use Metro unless you are experienced in driving to Capitol Hill AND are sharing the ride with other people.

By Metro:

Take the Red line to the Union Station Metro station. MARC and VRE trains also stop at Union Station. Walk across the street towards the right to the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and 1st Street NE. (A street map is available from StationMasters Online.)

By Car:

From Maryland:
Take the Beltway (I-495) to MD-185/Connecticut Avenue, exit number 33, towards Chevy Chase/Kensington. Turn right to go south on Connecticut towards Chevy Chase. At Dupont Circle, make a slight left onto Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right on 9th St. NW. Turn left on K St. NW. K Street becomes Massachusetts Avenue NW. After you cross N. Capitol St., it becomes Massachusetts Avenue NE. Park at a meter on the street (there should be plenty in the evening) or in the Union Station garage.

From Virginia:
Take I-66 East towards Washington. Take the US 50 East/Constitution Ave exit. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Ave. NW. Turn left onto Constitution Ave. NW. Turn left onto Louisiana Ave. NW. Turn slight left onto N. Capitol St. NW. Turn right onto Massachusetts Ave. NE. Park at a meter on the street (there should be plenty in the evening) or in the Union Station garage.

Parking

Public parking is available in the garage behind Union Station. It is a one block walk from Union Station to the Capital City Brewing Company. On the weekend, parking may also be available on the streets in the Capital Hill area a few blocks from Union Station.

Accessibility

The entrance to Capital City Brewing Company is not accessible from the two front doors, which are at the top of long flights of stairs. There is no sign posted on the front of the building about the accessible entrance, but there is one located around the back of the building. Walk up the sidewalk between the building and Union Station to the back of the building. An accessible entrance is on your left.

Riding Metro to the Event

The RideGuide will give you an idea of the travel time and fees from your Metro station to the station near the event. To plan your metro ride, use the Trip Planner at http://www.wmata.com/tripplanner_d/TripPlanner_Form_Solo.cfm?l=1.

Note: Metro trains, although uncrowded, do not operate as frequently before 9 a.m. on Saturdays. The wait time between trains may be 15 minutes.

Parking in Metro lots:
Parking at Metro-operated lots is FREE on weekends and federal holidays.

You may purchase SmarTrip cards online from the Metro Store. (Note: The Metro Store page is on a very slow server so it may take a while for the page to load.)

Standard SmarTrip farecard: A renewable SmarTrip farecard purchased online has a $20 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $25 online.

Senior and Disabled SmarTrip farecard: In order to purchase a discounted farecard, Senior citizens (65 and older) and persons with disabilities must have a valid WMATA Senior/Disabled ID card. (Applications for the free WMATA Senior/Disabled ID card are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202/962-1558, TTY 202/962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you.) A renewable SmarTrip farecard for senior and disabled riders purchased online has a $10 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $15 online.

SmarTrip cards may also be purchased from vending machines in Metro stations but come with a lower initial fare value: $5 for the card with a $5 fare value for a total of $10 for the standard farecard. A separate vending machine allows you to add fare value up to $300 to the card.
