The meeting is in the large room under the Sanctuary. Enter the church from the parking lot on Carlin Springs Road and head downstairs to the lowest level.

By Metro:

Take the Orange line to Ballston-MU Metro station. From the Ballston Metro, walk west on Fairfax Drive, cross Glebe Road, South. Turn left and proceed to the corner of N. Glebe and N. Carlin Springs Road, where there is a traffic light. Turn right on N. Carlin Springs Road. The large brick church is in the second block on the right at the corner of N. Carlin Springs Road and N. Vermont Street. (Or, leave the Metro station and head toward Ballston Commons Mall. Walk through the mall if you have time to shop!)

From the West and North on I-495 (Beltway):
map to Fisrt Presbyterian churchTake the Beltway and follow the signs to I-66 east. Continue on I-66 East to exit 71 at Fairfax Drive/Glebe Road (VA 120)/Ballston. At the second light, turn right (south) on Glebe Road. Turn right on Carlin Springs Road. The large brick church is in the second block on the right at the corner of N. Carlin Springs Road and N. Vermont Street. Turn right into the parking lot behind the church.

From the East (Washington, DC):
Take I-66 West until exit 71 (Fairfax/Glebe Road (VA 120)/Ballston). At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto Glebe Road. Continue on Glebe Road for about 1/4 mile. Continue past Wilson Boulevard. Turn right on N. Carlin Springs Road. The large brick church is in the second block on the right at the corner of N. Carlin Springs Road and N. Vermont Street. Turn right into the parking lot behind the church.

From Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) traveling East:
Exit at N. Carlin Springs Road, and turn left at the end of the ramp. Stay on N. Carlin Springs Road for about two miles, and the church will be on your left at the corner of N. Carlin Springs Road and N. Vermont Street. Turn left into the parking lot behind the church.

From Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) traveling West:
Exit at Glebe Road North, travel about 3/4 mile and turn left onto N. Carlin Springs Road. The church will be on your right at the corner of N. Carlin Springs Road and N. Vermont Street. Turn left into the parking lot behind the church.

Riding Metro to the Event

Note: Metro trains, although uncrowded, do not operate as frequently before 9 a.m. on Saturdays. The wait time between trains may be 15 minutes.

Parking in Metro lots:
Parking at Metro-operated lots is FREE on weekends and federal holidays.

You may purchase SmarTrip cards online from the Metro Store. (Note: The Metro Store page is on a very slow server so it may take a while for the page to load.)

Standard SmarTrip farecard: A renewable SmarTrip farecard purchased online has a $20 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $25 online.

Senior and Disabled SmarTrip farecard: In order to purchase a discounted farecard, Senior citizens (65 and older) and persons with disabilities must have a valid WMATA Senior/Disabled ID card. (Applications for the free WMATA Senior/Disabled ID card are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202/962-1558, TTY 202/962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you.) A renewable SmarTrip farecard for senior and disabled riders purchased online has a $10 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $15 online.

SmarTrip cards may also be purchased from vending machines in Metro stations but come with a lower initial fare value: $5 for the card with a $5 fare value for a total of $10 for the standard farecard. A separate vending machine allows you to add fare value up to $300 to the card.
