How Chapter Partnerships & Sponsorships Benefit the Chapter

A chapter partnership or sponsorship

  • Allows the Washington, DC Chapter to provide greater services to our members.
  • Assists in providing resources for chapter events, competitions, workshops, and scholarships.

Guidelines

Chapter sponsorship runs throughout the sponsored year with no long-term commitment. Sponsorship may be directly connected to a single event or a project.

Location Requirements

Meeting space needed for a location varies with the type of event. The following are the general attendance expectations: chapter leadership meetings (5-10 people), event programs (20-70 people), Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings (10-50 people), and chapter committee meetings (10-20 people).

We will need a person from your organization to assist in coordinating each event at your location, to open the door and/or escort people to the meeting room, or to help set up tables and chairs. For more information about locations needed for events, see About STC WDC Events.
