The following table shows the schedule of events for entrants to this year's competitions.

22 August 2008		 Opening of the WDC 2008-2009 Technical Communication Competitions.
 
Monday,
20 October 2008		 Deadline for entries Entries must be received by 7:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (U.S.).
 
Saturday,
6 December 2008 at 10 a.m.		 Consensus judging for all entries. Awards are determined and Best of Show judging.
 
Friday,
16 January 2009 		Deadline for entries DTC winning entries to be received by the International competitions.
 
Tuesday,
30 January 2009 		Award status letters Target date for all award and non-award notifications to be received by entrants.
 
Saturday,
7 February 2009 		Awards Ceremony and Luncheon for all judges, competition committee, winners, and guests. Banquet event information to be provided .
