About the Administrative Council
The administrative council consists of the following positions: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two At-Large Directors. The extended administrative council includes anyone else the council deems advisable, such as managers of active committees and of local Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
Voting members of the Administrative Council (except for the Immediate Past President) are elected; other members of the extended administrative council are appointed. Only the elected Administrative Council members are eligible to vote on administrative issues. Other members of the extended council serve as advisors to the officers on administrative issues. All members of the extended council must be chapter members in good standing.
Administrative Council elections are held each April. See the Administrative Council Roles page for information about each elected position. The Administrative Council is governed by the Chapter Bylaws (176 K .pdf).

About Administrative Council Meetings
The administrative council or extended council meets at the discretion of the President or at the request of two or more members of the Council. A majority of the voting members of the council constitutes a quorum (at least four of the seven voting members).
Committee and subcommittee managers, and chapter members who are not on the Administrative Council, are welcome to attend and participate in all Administrative Council meetings. Only elected chapter officers are eligible to vote on administrative issues. Other members of the extended council (committee managers) serve as advisors to the officers on administrative issues.
Council meetings are included in the Calendar of Events.
